Book 1

The Bride on Beacon Hill

Marie Ann McCarthy, daughter of one of the wealthiest merchants in Boston, refuses to believe her father took his own life. Appeared as if he chose his own fate, Thomas McCarthy was found dead with a knife in one hand and a letter in the other. Marie Ann attempts to search for the one responsible, alongside his handsome, most trusted apprentice.

While aiding his dying mother, William Johnson automatically finds himself in charge of McCarthy Mercantile. As he attempts to search for the one who falsely accused Thomas McCarthy of self-murder, he vows to protect his boss's daughter. His own heart at stake, knowing his beloved Marie is betrothed to another man within her class.

In order to receive her inheritance and save the McCarthy's good name, Marie Ann knows what she must do—become Daniel Smith's bride, a man in Boston's highest societal class to mend her family's scandal.

Marie's stubborn nature causes her to question her marriage arrangement with a man she doesn't love, protect her family from the one trying to destroy it, and submit herself to the man who deserves her heart.

Book 2

Alice McCarthy is the youngest, most naïve McCarthy sister. She is two and twenty and has no plans of finding a proper suitor. Why would she when her calling is to become the best doctor Boston has ever seen? After working as a midwife, a tug on her heart leads her to studying at Boston University School of Medicine where she met the doctor who saved her sister's life. Alice immediately finds herself in a male-dominated profession—one that doesn't come without prejudice of accepting a female doctor in Boston's Society.

When Dr. Eli Bennett's wife is admitted to an insane asylum, he is left with raising three daughters on his own. But once Alice receives threats in the program, she agrees to shadow the handsome doctor her family suggests—until Dr. Bennett is left as a widower and proposes a marriage of convenience, offering Alice protection in exchange for her to care for his children.

Alice finds herself drawn to Dr. Bennett in ways she never expected. But when she faces the one responsible for threatening her career, a shocking secret is revealed, one that could possibly tear apart her newfound family. Can she abide by Eli's conditions of a marriage in name only or will she put everything on the line for love?

I am one of your fans and a new faithful reader of anything you write. The way you turn a phrase is what captures me the most about your writing style, but I must also shyly admit that your tale of the McCarthy family (yes, I did, indeed, enjoy Will and Marie's love story, as you put it) such that I do believe that I have given my heart to, "The Heart of Boston."

I reluctantly finished reading the last words on the last page of your Book One and am hungry to devour the next pages in the series. I cannot wait for it to be ready for purchase!
